Recognition

We believe training and recognition go hand in hand. We want to cultivate and support a positive training environment and shape the cardiothoracic training programme into one that takes into account the complete set of trainee needs.

We have therefore devised the Trainer Awards which, on an annual basis, recognise consultants in cardiac and thoracic surgery as well as one trainee trainer for their outstanding contribution to training.
