Trainer Awards

Recognising Excellence.

The Trainer Awards is a new initiative created by the 2020/21 committee aimed at recognising the best trainers in the UK and Ireland on an annual basis.

Recognising excellent Trainers is an important part of improving the training programme. The following individuals have gained national recognition for their dedication toward training their junior team members in Cardiothoracic surgery.

The awards are split into Golden Heart for cardiac surgery, Golden Lungs for thoracic surgery and Silver Sternum to recognise trainee trainers that have gone above and beyond to further the training needs of their peers and junior colleagues.
